R.T. Harris’s career includes a Bachelor of Science degree in ConstructionScience and Management from Clemson University. At Clemson, Mr. Harris gained experience about various aspects of the construction professionincluding estimating, scheduling and project management. Mr. Harris also gained experience through two summer internships. Mr. Harris participated in an internship with a large construction company. During this internship, Mr. Harris was able to apply classroom knowledge to real-world experiences by providing support for estimating, scheduling, quality control and field labor. Initially, Mr. Harris entered the forensic engineering field to provide support as an intern. Responsibilities as an intern included providing support to forensic engineers with Construction Science and Engineering, Inc. After graduating, Mr. Harris has provided support for forensic engineering services related to building failures including fire and hail related damages and provided support for deficient construction surveys, structural inspections and repair projects. Recently, Mr. Harris was accepted as a Level 1 Thermographer by the Infrared Training Center. As a Level 1 Thermographer, Mr. Harris may provide building envelope inspections with a thermal imaging camera.
